5.0 out of 5 stars Solid laptop for work and business, and some light gaming
Solid laptop that has great battery life and build quality. The screen is bright and crisp as well. Has enough power to get through the workday without being too heavy or running out of battery quickly. It is decently fast and applications open quickly. The form factor is great, full metal housing that feels solid but not heavy. Sound quality is it bad, could be a little more on the bass side but nonetheless is loud and clear on the mids. Two things I do wish were better, 1) the keyboard… having the full number pad is nice, but not when it is at the cost of typing comfort. The numbers squish the qwerty side into a usable but awkward key spacing. 2) the graphics is integrated so it isn’t the best for gaming, you can play things at lower settings, but don’t expect to run anything at max settings. If you want to do the latter then go with the discrete graphics version of the laptop the ultra.Overall if you are looking for a windows machine for school or business and don’t really do anything graphics intensive then this is a very good option.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Amazing Laptop!
This laptop is absolutely amazing! The Intel Core 7 Ultra Processor is super fast, making everything from gaming to schoolwork a breeze. The 16″ screen is stunning—everything looks so sharp and vibrant! It’s also really lightweight and easy to carry around, which is perfect for taking to class, a friend’s house, or traveling. The battery lasts forever, so I don’t have to worry about charging it all the time. The keyboard feels great to type on, and it looks and feels super high-quality.One of the best things is how quickly it starts up. It’s ready to go in seconds, which is awesome when I’m in a hurry. Plus, it has plenty of ports for all my gadgets.Overall, this laptop is incredible for both working and traveling, and it has totally exceeded my expectations. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and portable computer!

5.0 out of 5 stars COLOR spectrum is INSANE!
I AM BLOWN AWAY! First, I am coming from an older MACbook PRO model before jumping to this one. I am A-MAZED at how SLIM this baby is! When I first powered her on, the color jumping out at me was INSANE. Definitely a better picture quality than my older laptop. The touch pad is HUGE and responsive. When I discovered this was TOUCH SCREEN, I was immediately impressed. I have experienced one other laptop with touchscreen in the past and it was non-responsive, glitchy and underwhelming. The touchscreen on this one was a pleasant surprise. This laptop is durable, well made, sleek and easily portable. It offers some light gaming power and is especially convenient for business. Typing on the keyboard is a positive experience. It comes well equipped with everything you need to get started. Overall, a great option if you are a content creator, work in business, and or constantly on the go with a powerful device required. It is LIGHT, SLIM, and POWERFUL.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE!!!
The laptop looks amazing! Reminds me of a Macbook to be honest. The color and display on the screen is phenomenal. I got the 16″ one and it’s perfect. It’s super fast and has a ton of storage. Windows 11 is working flawlessly. I charged it to 100% and took it to a 3 hour class last night. It was at 80% when I left. Great computer. A little pricey, but definitely worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars It’s worth getting just for the awesome display
Beautiful, crisp 120Hz display. Very good keyboard and touch pad. Solid metal and glass implementation of the slim, gorgeous design. Great battery life. Integrates perfectly with the Samsung ecosystem (Tabs, Galaxy phones, Buds Pro, etc.). I couldn’t be happier.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is a powerful and light weight laptop except the speaker
In short, this is a fantastic light weight yet powerful laptop. Good enough for all everyday use. For a 16″ laptop, it only weights at a little over 3lbs. It is 1lb lighter than my other 16″ laptops. The processor is powerful enough to handle most demanding works. Since it does not have a dedicated graphics card, it is not suitable for gaming and video editing. For that, you have to select the Ultra model instead of this PRO model. It has 16GB of memory, enough for most tasks and many open tabs in browser or many open applications at the same time. The screen is fantastic. The color is much vibrant than my other laptops. In fact, the screen color is the best that I ever experienced from any laptop. The screen resolution is not the highest compared to other laptops that you can see it is a little bit lower resolution if put another higher resolution laptop side by side with this one. But for most eyes, the difference is negligible if you don’t look at it close. The touch screen works flawlessly and very responsive. The touch pad is huge and responsive. I heard that some people experience the unresponsive touch pad but for me I didn’t have any issue with the touch pad. I think people are ignoring a fact that you have to keep the touch pad clean to make it work. Even my mac book pro touch pad needs a little cleaning over time otherwise it will not work well. The bottom of the touch pad are two invisible buttons that you can click on. The keyboard is good enough for me. The keys have enough travel distance. The keys do click when you press on it, so they give you enough feedback when you type on them. The memory is 16GB that you cannot upgrade. So you have to decide whether it is enough for you. I think in most cases, it should be enough. The fingerprint button works extremely fast. The only thing this laptop is weak at is that the speaker is down firing instead of front facing. The sound is like a cheap pc speaker. It does not have bass at all. In my opinion, the speaker is the only weak point of this laptop. Everything else is perfectly fine. The weak speaker does not bother to me at all as most of the time I am using headphone anyway. Even I do use the speaker for zoom meeting or anything other than watch a movie, the speaker is completely good enough. This laptop is completely suitable for web browsing, school, work, coding, but not for gaming and video editing. For a 16″ screen laptop, this is one of the lightest you can find.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great laptop
I am a power user and have a desktop setup for most of my tasks. That said, I often find myself away from home when I need to do my stuff, so I have always had a laptop laying around. My last one was getting a bit long in the teeth, so I got this one based on the great specs. The screen on this puppy is amazing – Sharp and clear, high resolution. the colors are deep and beautiful. I can see why it is being compared to the Macbook pro. While I am historically not a fan of running Windows in tablet mode, there are some benefits to having the touch-screen option. On the Galaxy Book4 the touch screen works like on a Samsung cell phone: Smooth and fast, with no real drawbacks. The processor is a beast as well – 16 cores and 22 vCPU’s. So far, I have not done anything that taxes the processor to a point where performance is affected (I am not a gamer at all). The 1TB SSD is very nice to have, even though I normally do not use that much local storage. I might run a dual-boot environment on this in the future, so I can get both Linux and Windows distributions running on this machine.RAM is not upgradable, which is a pretty big deal for me for a laptop with these specs. While 16GB is ’sufficient‘, I am a power user and frequently run into issues when memory gets exhausted. With the machine all set up with my tools and otherwise pretty much idle, it is already using 64% of the available RAM. For my business laptop I had to request an upgrade to get 32GB, which has resolved the memory issues for me. Unfortunately, with this laptop, I am stuck at 16GB.This is the first laptop that I owned where the fingerprint reader actually works fantastic. After setting it up, I have not had to use my password or pin to log on.The keyboard is good, and I appreciate the dedicated numpad on the side. Gives a bit more flexibility. The laptop comes with a USB-C power supply that is absolutely tiny – About the size of a cell-phone charger. That saves a lot of weight and volume over a traditional power supply, and with the battery life being as good as it is, I probably only have to travel with a single power supply to power all of my USB-C devices.Looking back, I probably should have gone for the 360 model, which includes the hinges that turn the laptop into a tabled when needed. Otherwise, I recommend this laptop!

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall great laptop, scratches easily
I’ll start with my one complaint first incase this deters anyone: the outside scratches easily. I have 3 laptops that I stack on top of each other on a shelf when not in use, and I noticed after only one month the top of this is very scuffed up and scratched, and it can’t be wiped clean. As a 16″ laptop this isn’t one I would travel with due to the size (but it is very lightweight). It is amazing when working at home and having the larger screen that is touch, and number keybpad to the right of the keyboard. The screen resolution is crystal clear, and I especially love the backlit keyboard. The inputs are 2 USB-C and one USB-A, so I had to buy some adapters to connect the devices I needed. The price is high, and I wouldn’t purchase this for day to day basic use (surfing the web and watching videos),. IMO it’s really more geared to those wanting it for business purposes or those with specific needs.I have not tested the battery as I never let my devices get below half power, but the user guide says it has 21 hours of battery life (which I don’t believe if you’re actively streaming)

5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressive. Minor gripes about lid hard to open, and arrow scroll buttons.
My last laptop was a W10 thinkpad (corporate): this is a vast improvement, in all respects, and I think offers remarkable performance/capablities for the cost. But I’m not a laptop expert – there are lots of technical/performance reviews out there if you need that kind of review info. What I can say:- I’ve only had this in use for about a month, but wanted to get initial impressions out soon. I will update after I’ve used it more, if anything changes or more info is available.- Mechanically, it’s a very finely crafted machine.Barely 1/2″ thick, it’s hard to imagine how they got it so thin. My only ‚beef‘ is that, for me, opening the lid (theres a very small ’notch‘ in the lower deck for lifting it) is more awkward that I’d like…but far from a show stopper.- I was able to add 2TB of M2 (980Pro SSD) secondary drive easily, though the location of the M2 stick connectors was different that I’d seen on several videos; it’s set sort of at an angle centrally in the ‚backplane‘. Opening the case was exactly as shown on various videos, pretty easy, with a ’spudger‘ type tool. A bit nerve wracking, but worked out just fine. I used Samsung Magician to configure and monitor. And now have 3 TB on a laptop about the same size as an actual notebook!- The 16″ OLED TOUCHSCREEN display is a WINNER for sure.I have their (much) earlier 12″ oled tablet (W10) and this one is even brighter and more vivid. The crispness of the display has me uncertain over using an external monitor or not – I have a 32″ one, but it’s lower resolution that this laptop!(I have not loaded any games on it yet:)- Startup and W11 configuration is a vast improvement from earlier systems – it pretty much walks you through everthing you need to get going; no junk software or ads, etc. Nicely done, Samsung.- Battery life is at least as good as spec’d – I rarely have had to charge it, but it runs off an amazingly small AC-USB adaptor; a long ways from the old ‚laptop brick‘ power supplies I’m used to hauling around.I really can’t add anything to what other ‚tecnical reviewers‘ have covered, but a few minor thoughts:- The clamshell has kind of a ‚knife-edge‘ profile – so if you drop it, the liklihood is very high of considerable damage. And that same design makes it tricky to find a sleeve or case for it (none from Samsung yet that I could find.)- No Docking station.Maybe I’m just too oldschool, expecting a LAN port or a docking station (again, nothing yet from Samsung); clearly this is intended to be a ‚mainly wifi‘ device. With wifi on my new mesh system there is no difference in test speeds vs LAN, so…huh. I still think there ’should‘ be ‚more‘ ports on it, but really, is it necessary….? Time will tell.I did get a USB hub (with LAN) to try with it, but haven’t yet.I also bought a BT keyboard for use with it. Haven’t yet.(My initial idea was to set it up for use like workstation, and use ‚plugged in‘ with the machine on a vertical stand…but am startion to wonder: Why bother?)- Not sure if this is a design or Windows thing, but the keyboards‘ main ‚arrow‘ keys (also PgUp/Dn) don’t work to scroll up and down in browser mode (or Windows , uh windows), so is frustrating to have to ‚reset‘ my hands for using the touch pad to get to the scroll bars. The arrow keys embedded in the numeric keypad (inluded!! In a LAPTOP!) DO work as I like, but similarly require repositioning my hands to reach. I don’t recall older laptops having this issue, and maybe there’s a way around it I haven’t found yet. (Touch pad scroll area, maybe?)Pretty minor beef, for sure, especially in light of all the other impressive abilities it has.- Lack of accessories (?) from Samung. Docking station. Travel or hard case. Dock station stand.Mabye its‘ too soon.- I have not tried any of the other interesting features, like Copilot, the photo editing suite, etc -but will update if/when I have more to say about those. There is also a huge list of available Samsung extra features, inluding one that claims to allow file xfers between samsung devices, but as near as I can tell it doesn’t work with my old W10 Samsung tablet.- The fingerprint reader makes for REALLY quick start ups – and for the most part works very quickly and accurately. Unfortunately I had some scars on my hands when I did the initial scan, so I’ll probably need to re-record that, as I do get occasional ’not recognized‘ messages.LIke I said, its been a LONG time since I’ve used a laptop, but this thing simply runs circles around my old W10 Thinkpad: Faster (by far), brighter display (by far), Touchscreen (!!!), much more ergonomic keboard (even though very low travel keys), a numeric pad included, 3 TB for not much cost (!), oh and a much larger display, but lighter by pounds and pounds. If you are considering a machine in this price/performance/feature range, I can offer no reason at all to not chose it, though I guess I’d want to compare the full ‚360‘ degree opening version (not that it makes any difference for my uses.)Definitely recommended!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelent laptop (in its category) but overpriced
Let’s make it straight – I think that overall rating should be rather 4.5 stars but it is not available as an invidual rating so I focused more on technical part and this is closer to 5*.Pros within its category. Category is „high speed CPU, slim, common use laptop“:- Very thin, 12.5mm (0.5″) . Be aware that this doesn’t allow for too many ports. There are 2 USB C, one USB A, micro SD, HDMI, and audio. Charging via USB C.- Fantastic 16″ AMOLED sceen, high resolution 2880×1800, 16×10 aspect ratio, 120 Hz, about 400 nit brightness. Touchscreen, capacitive. Wonderful accurate colors, very wide agle of viewing as this is OLED technology. Very thin screen.- Excellent build, aluminum construction.- Fast processor (Intel Ultra Core 7 155H Meteor Lake) and all techical aspects are right except I don’t like that memory is not expandable.- Storage is 1GB and expandable by additional M.2 SSD module- Newest Intel integrated graphics.- Good fingerprint reader- Weight is 3.4 lb.- Short stroke keyboard, I like it.- Real life battery usage is between 5 – 8 hrs for very heavy to heavy continuous use. This laptop is one of 5 tiers of Galaxy Book4. This one is named Galaxy Book4 PRO but it is more the name than indication of „Professional Level“. It does have only 16GB od LPDDR5 memory, soldered in so not expandable. OS is Windows 11 Home (not Pro). There is no option for discrete graphics.Other considerations:- Very glossy screen,- 16GB memory is not expandable, 32GB may not be needed in this category but is convienient long term assurance.- Not too many ports. May need port expander.Overall it is very, very good laptop for everyday use or entry level Pro engineering. The list price is high but everyday pricing varies what is annoying after you bought it. I have seen on Samsung website, this and other models in Galaxy Book4 family to have price drop of 300-500.There is large competitor base it this category of laptops with the same CPU, 16/32GB memory, 0.5-2TB SSD. They are smaller or larger, thinner or thicker, some are aluminum, other more „plasticky“. Quality varies as well as price.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good laptop at an inflated price
This laptop has a really solid build. For your general all purpose laptop designed for business, it is one of the better ones I have worked with in the last 5 years or so. The construction is solid, the Ultra i7 paired with the 16gb of DDR5 RAM and 1TB 4th gen nVME are fast and responsive. The keyboard feels really good under your fingers with excellent travel on key presses and zero keyboard flex. The trackpad is also responsive and works really well and the addition of a hot key to turn the trackpad off is really nice. The touchscreen is bright, responsive and with amazing colors. It’s one of the best screens I have ever seen on a laptop. I/O is not numerous, but with two USB type C ports, HDMI, USB Type A and a headphone jack, it does a bit better than some other brands out there.Battery life is ok for a laptop of this quality. An Ultra i7 uses a lot of juice, but under heavy load, the user should expect between 6 and 8 hours which isn’t bad. While I love this laptop, the one thing that bothers me is the price. $1750 for a PC laptop with no discreet GPU seems to be a bit high. In my personal opinion, at most, this is a $1200 machine.

This laptop you have to ask yourself two questions what are you using it for and how awesome do you want it to be. I got this for my wife and her work. She’s going to use it a little bit outside of work but for the most part it’s going to be a very work laptop. She needs something with a good battery life. She needs something that has fast processing power and can keep up with what she’s doing. She needs also something that’s lightweight since you’ll be carrying it around a lot of times. The laptop meets all those requirements. I’m even surprised at how lightweight and responsive it is. I am very very jealous at how beautiful this screen is. This monitor has made me want to go by myself a new monitor for my gaming rig. My wife and I can both look at the same image on Google Earth and hers is so much more crisp. One of the big things my wife loves about it is the size of the screen. She went from using a 14 inch laptop up to this. She didn’t realize how much better things would look on a slightly bigger screen. She has to use some program for work and on the old laptop it would kind of scrunch everything together she got kind of annoyed with it it just didn’t do as well as she would have prefer. Yeah absolutely has had zero issue with this. Just the other day she learned that it was touch screen even though I told her already. The battery life is phenomenal. I’ve seen her go all day on a single charge. This laptop was well designed and made. There’s a lot of quality to it. To reiterate it would be hard to be the performance the portability and the battery life of this laptop. And I can say that one look at the the screen and you’ll fall in love with it.
