    Sturdy

I bought this scooter for my husband and I to use when we go camping. We are both in our 70s and it far exceeded our expectations. My husband and our 11 year old grandson put it together for me. Heavy duty and so easy to use. Our whole family has fallen in love with it. There will definitely be another one in our near future. By the way the three gears are great and it smoothly goes up inclines without struggle.

    5 stars and more!

I love riding this scooter. The seat has been useful for a longer commute, but uses more battery. It is a perfect scooter to take to the grocery store, to work, and to the gym. Battery life is great – I can get about 2 1/2 hours of full use in 3rd gear, and more in the lower gears. I use this scooter almost every day and it works well in rain and good weather. I haven’t tried in heavy rain, but the brakes work well so I’m sure it would be fine. It sits higher than other scooters, so I can see traffic clearly. Definitely 5 stars, especially as the customer service is also great.

    Great fun & transportation

Only thing I would like are bigger tires so I wouldn’t have to stand as much to avoid feeling the bumps as much. I have better control standing anyway though. I like having the option to stand ride or sit as I alternate between the two.

    Extremely rugged

This thing has actually replaced my car. It’s just me and this thing is great for that. Average top speed is about 19. Wind and hills are significant factors in speed. Slightly difficult to assemble. Charger gets hot and loud but replacements are cheap. I love it. It’s opened up new worlds to me. I’m a bit of a hermit. This gets me out. Even if by myself.

    It’s just ok.

I got my scooter for Christmas and had to wait until spring to ride it. Instructions say it should go 22 mph. As soon as I hit 13 mph, it starts vibrating and won’t go any faster. It’s too late to return but I’m not happy so far.

    Awesome, when it worked

**update, hiboy sent me a new controller unit, which I swapped out (not an insignificant amount of work) and scooter is still dead…informed hiboy that it didn’t solve the issue and haven’t received a response. DO NOT PURCHASEMy first order I got one that showed up dead on arrival, charged it fully and scooter controls just showed empty battery and wouldn’t respond to anything. Returned that one.Ordered again thinking I just got a lemon the first go-round, it showed up and was great. Lots of fun, zippy and filled the role I needed it to.After less than 30 miles the second one has now quit, and unfortunately my return window just closed. Now the control panel doesn’t turn on at all, charger shows scooter is fully charged.I’m communicating with hiboy and will update if they resolve it, but I would say save your money. A 700$ scooter should have better quality control.

    Speed control

Just rode this morning for the first time and found it very stable. the one thing I found very inconvenient is the fact that there’s not speed control, the throttle is like a switch that suddenly pushes the scooter with all power at once, in other words, you can start slow if you want to.I have others scooters and they don’t have that problem.I’ll tried for one more week to see if I can get used to that otherwise, I will return it.Also, it doesn’t go as fast as they advertised it.

    Very slowwwwww

Scooter is great but if you are a certain weight over 200 you don’t get past 14 miles per hour…. The battery on full charge goes down very quickly like 35-45 mins …..going up hill you go even slower like 8-10 …. aesthetically speaking it’s a beautiful scooter and high quality but the power is very lowwwww…. In cold weather it is even slower even on a full charge you go like 4 miles an hour

    Long Range and Impressive Speed

Long Range and Impressive Speed:The standout feature of the Hiboy Electric Scooter is its commendable range and speed. With a range of 31 miles on a single charge, it provides an impressive commuting option for adults. The top speed of 22 mph adds an element of excitement to the ride, making it suitable for both daily commutes and recreational use.Hiboy Electric Scooter is worth considering for your daily commuting needs

Great for short for commute,20mph max speed tops, great for roving forest preserves, only cons I deal with was no suspension on it,kinda bothered if using for long ride, might get a seat with built in suspension, but will absolutely buy this product or recommend it.

Handlebar Assembly Hinge BROKE While Riding! – warranty resolved issue

After hitting one pot hole at 20 MPH the Hinge assembly that holds the handlebar STRAIGHT UP broke and COLLAPSED while riding, luckliy I did not crash!Such an important part of a scooter should not break like this, its unacceptable. Now I have an expensive and broken scooter that even if fixed, i dont feel comfortable riding.UPDATE 9/30/22After sending one email, they shipped the necessary part replacement with a video to repair which was simple. While I am dissapointed that it broke, I did hit a LARGE pot hole and the large wheels is probably what saved me, smaller wheels and I went have went flying, so thats good, thats why I wanted the larger wheels… No other damage occurred

    Great Buy

I love this scooter! Very well built. First of all be safe and aware of your surroundings. I had a recent accident where a car made a left in front of me and I wasn’t able to stop in time and hit the side of the car hard. I went down and scraped my ankle and leg up. The scooter didn’t even have a scratch, can’t say the same for the car. It had a nice dent. Remember take care when riding on streets. Always be aware of your surroundings and a helmet is highly recommended.

    Best upgrade

I love Hiboy! This is my second Hiboy scooter and I didn’t think it could get any better than the S2 but it does. This scooter is easy to assemble. I did it by myself in less than 30 minutes. The ECOM14 has exceeded my expectations. It is faster and the battery life can go further. I didn’t think I would like the air filled tires over the hard tire of the S2 but I do. They make it a softer ride and it is more comfortable. I also got the seat and basket and those do not disappoint. I thought I would feel like a grandma, but these are legit. I love being able to sit down and I can hold all the things for everyone in my awesome basket! I don’t get my license for another 6 months and this thing is going to take me everywhere until I do. I highly recommend this scooter!

    I bought both scooters, VE1 PRO/ECOM 14

Update: customer service is absent. they sent me a scooter with a flat tire. I did not realize there was an issue until a month later when I tried to ride the scooter. The other scooter I ordered has no issues. I contacted customer service but they have not responded. I deserve a free tube to replace the flat tire.I tried out the VE1 Pro this morning and loved it. It is easy to use. It takes a little getting used to with the throttle. It does go up hill. If you are taking steeper climbs, make sure to have it on a higher speed, but it can climb even if on the 1 speed. I only had it on 1 speed and it feels fast. I also bought the ECOM 14 but havent put it together, yet. Now I have something to take to Santa Monica or Venice on the weekends.

    Great step up for commuting

I’m coming to this scooter from the Hiboy S2 Pro scooter and it has been a great improvement for my daily commute. The larger wheels deliver a smooth ride, the faster speed shortens the ride, and the improved range means I have to charge up less.It was quick to assemble and ready to go in 15 minutes. You just need to attach the handlebars, clip two wires together, mount the front light with 1 screw, and install the front wheel. The overall fit and finish of the scooter are excellent too.Once you’re up and riding, the ride quality is excellent too. My commute takes me down some rougher roads, and the larger wheels absorb the bumps much better than the other scooters I have ridden. The scooter deck is a little shorter than others to give room to the larger wheels, but the extra width means it is still comfortable to stand on. The large motor gives the scooter good acceleration which is great when you are riding with traffic.Because of all the improvements over your more standard electric scooter, the VE1 Pro is a bit larger in size and heavier than the S2 Pro I am used to, but the extra speed, smoother ride, and longer range are worth the trade off. I would just recommend anyone that might need to take this up stairs or carry it through a building look at getting a carrying strap.Overall, I would definitely recommend if you are looking to take a step up from the more typical scooters available out there.

DO NOT BUY THIS. IT’S THE CHEAPEST-MADE SCOOTER ON THE MARKET

This thing was broken out of the box. The brake disc was bent making it impossible to have the front wheel spin freely since the brake pad was constantly rubbing u against it. When I contacted Customer service they said there were instruction on pages 7-8 of the instruction manual on how to fix this. There were not. When customer service got back to me again several days later, they said „Take it to a repair shop.“ This is a brand new scooter just out of the box I’m supposed to take to a repair shop. After spending hours adjusting the brake I never got the rubbing to stop but the wheel did spin, although not freely, the brake pad was slowing it down. I took it out for the first ride thinking maybe if I wear down the brake pad enough, it will stop making contact with the disc, but as soon as I got on, hit the accelerator and tried to turn, the handle bars snapped becoming disconnected from the front tire so it no longer turns. Again after a couple days waiting for a response from customer service, they offered me a water-proof bag for my trouble. So basically I paid $600 for a scooter I can’t risde and a water-proof bag I don’t want. STAY AWAY FROM HIBOY!! I don’t think they are a real company and if they are they won’t be in business for long. Toy companies make higher quality scooters than this. I am pursuing legal action as I was thrown from the scooter when I couldn’t turn and had to slam on the brakes to avoid a car. I have road rash all down my leg. My other leg, which is a prosthetic let, was damaged in the crash. This is literally the worst thing I have ever bought

    Fast, fun and zippy

Ok I bought one of these to help me around town and it was great fun zipping around to different locals that I needed to go, alas due to some medical issues I had to return it which the company was willing to work out an arrangement. I loved every second I was on it….well once I learned how to get it turned on. I would recommend 100 times over to anyone that wants a quick cheaper way to get around town. The only things I didn’t like is the weight cause it’s a little difficult to get up and down stairs with it and the seat could use a little more cushioning. But I wanted to send a shout out to Irving with all his help.

Smooth ride thanks to the big wheels.

I bought this scooter as a replacement and upgrade to my last Hiboy which had solid tires. The bigger wheels on this are unique. Personally, I like the styling but I really like the ride compared to my last scooter with small wheels that were solid rubber. This scooter doesn’t actually have any suspension but has a way smoother ride thanks to the big wheels. Power seems good and acceleration is good. The throttle is sensitive and takes some mastering but I’ve adapted to it. The motor is in the rear wheel and is louder than my last scooter. It’s not bad though and I’m used to it now. I have about 25 miles on the scooter now, most are short trips of only a few miles. I love the display. It’s completely clear, even in bright sunlight. The battery is brand new so I would assume it would hold a charge well and so far, so good. Overall it’s a good scooter. If you like the styling you won’t be disappointed in the big wheels. Assembly was easy and I like the adjustable handlebars so my shorter family members can adjust to their preference. The dual disc brakes are way better than my last scooter as well. Overall I would recommend this.

    A beast

I gave this scooter 5 stars because it does exactly as advertised. I’m around 220 and this thing went to 22 miles per hour in less than 5 seconds. The battery life is amazing for going on a longer joyride or to the store. I was able to pull my bf and my old scooter because that one died. So this scooter is able to pull another whole scooter (seen in pic white) with a 240 pd man on it, and me on this scooter. Just an amazing scooter. The seat is crap though. It’s not shaped appropriately for comfort at all. Needs to be better. I’m 5’2 and with the seat being locked into the very last hole…it’s still too high and the back of my thighs hurt from clenching? If that makes any sense?! I was using more muscle than necessary just to feel comfortable. So I had to slide the seat all the way down. It doesn’t lock into place but it’s more comfy and it doesn’t do anything really to ruin it. Making the seat interchangeable or lower is ideal.

    Great scooter and excellent company!!!

I bought this scooter for my two high school girls to use to go back and forth to high school. It was sooo easy to get together and I took it around a bunch of times myself – was a blast !!! I almost didn’t want to give it to them. I even had the local teenagers on the electric bikes giving me a thumbs up as I was having fun cruising around the neighborhood. The girls removed the seat because they said it was uncool and after they tried they loved it too. Between them they are 235 lbs and scooter has no problem with either or both of them as board deck is plenty big. The big tires make it stable as well. Unfortunately they started fighting over the scooter so we decided to give it to the older one and get the younger one later. Well the older one injured her knee in wrestling and couldn’t use it for 6 weeks. During that time they put it in the garage – she of course now that the scooter was hers refused to let the younger one use it and typically as teenager despite me telling her to make sure it was stored charged – left it uncharged for almost seven weeks in the cold. The manual states clearly to leave it charged and charge it up monthly so it was basically our fault the battery died. I contacted the company and they had a very organized professional service center. I left a message and within 24 hours they called and emailed. I explained we left it uncharged and even though it states in manual the warranty doesn’t cover the situation for replacement under this situation – they said no problem and mailed out another battery free of charge which arrived in less than a week. It was super easy to change the battery and now it works like new ! Awesome scooter and awesome company. Thanks so much we will be ordering another one!

Solid frame and great adult commuter

I got this scooter to do my 7ish mile commute to work. Like a lot of the reviews say, it is easy to put together. The build quality is quite high overall, however, I did have some of the same issues others had with handlebar screws not log enough and stripped but I had some extra in my shop that fixed the issue. Plus, the brakes took a lot of tweaking to make it so they did not rub. The front brake still does not seed all the way down to get a full grip on the disk, but it works well enough. Especially, since I mainly use the back brake. The brakes seem to work well enough for me but besides just practice I haven’t had a real slam on the brakes moment yet. This scooter is big! That’s okay but it may be a challenge on narrow streets with crowds and tight turns. The half a second delay on throttle is probably there to keep the scooter from running away as you kick off and get feet on board. But I wish is was more like a quarter second delay. This thing is not water proof! The top standing deck plate is secured with four screws but it does not sit tightly onto the frame, so water can splash into tue battery and controller area. Holes on bottom are there to let that water drain. I sealed mine up with silicone and duck tape and it has made it more water resistant, but I’m sure they would not recommend this at Hiboy.I live in Florida so not much hills to deal with but the occasional hill is a struggle for this machine but for me it is not a big deal.I’m 175lbs and tested it on our rails to trails and kept it in 2nd at about 15mph and it got 25 miles before it cut out. That’s pretty good I think but not the 31 mph under perfect conditions estimate.I wish there was an after market deck that had a built in seat over the back wheel. Could look really slick and would be nice to have a place to sit.Overall, great machine due to sold frame and big tires I have a blast on my daily commute.I was not paid for this writeup it is my opinion.Thanks.

160 LBS AND ONLY 13 MPH- BATTERY LIFE YET UNKNOWN

Not bad to assemble. However the screw and nut for the headlight don’t work… the nut is too large for the slot that it is supposed to fit into. Full charge and only 13 mph for a 160 lb person. Time will tell about battery life. Seems sturdy. 3 stars due to misleading mph and light attachment issue.

WOW!! Such a blast and way more versatile than other e-scooters.

Wow, this thing is a blast to ride and well worth the investment.A friend of mine just got an e-scooter so when mine arrived I was excited not only being able to go out riding together but to also compare the differences. Bottom line, I’m so glad I got this one vs. the one he got. Things I liked:EXCELLENT QUALITY: The build quality of this is excellent. The frame, deck, even the fenders are metal. Not plastic. It was also easy to assemble (30 minutes) and came with all the tools you need.FAST and STABLE: This thing is fast. 23 mph! Way faster than my buddy’s and even with faster speeds the larger wheels made it feels a lot more stable and safer. My buddy’s has regular sized wheels and you have to pay a lot of attention to every bump and crack in the road and at higher speeds it felt very unsafe.WIDE DECK / LARGE AIR FILLED TIRES : This means a very smooth, comfortable ride even when riding through rougher roads or for longer distances. It even went through gravel and grassy areas just fine. My friend wasn’t able to do that on his.Bottom line: My friend is jealous of the one I got. This may have been a little more money than his and it’s larger size means it may not be as compact, but this e-scooter was a better build quality and went faster, further and was more fun by it’s versatility in the multiple types of terrain it can maneuver through. The larger size also meant the ride was so much smoother and safer even at higher speeds. If you haven’t ’scooted‘ yet, try it out. I’ve experienced my city from a whole new and exhilarating perspective. I wish I would of got one years ago. Everyone (from teenagers to 50 year olds) in the neighborhood that test rode it enjoyed it.

    Big wheels keep on turning

I receive my V1 pro today. I am impressed with the sturdiness. The big wheels makes a great soft and comfortable ride. The only issue was a the front wheel installment and I noticed there was a rubbing noise with the brakes and disk. With my skills I was able to make the adjustments, my advice is to assemble the front wheel why it is standing this way. You can make an adjustment and lift the wheel up off the ground and turn it and listen for the noise. Once I got that adjustment everything was great. I do admit I test drove on 43% battery and you can tell the difference in the speed I can’t wait to fully charge the battery to get the full performance.

I am really enjoying this Scooter

This thing has been so great, I purchased it for when i go off to events where stuff is spread out over a big field or something so i don’t have to walk cause i have bad trouble with my feet, But this thing has been such a big help around my yard. I use it almost daily now. I ride it to check on the mail, check the dog, down to my garage. I am diabetic and it has really came in for so so many uses, the basket is nice to have and i even came up with a hitch made from PVC to hook my little wagon to it to haul things around with.I am right at 220 pounds and i find the battery life decent. it pulls really good up my hills in the yard until it gets down to like 2 bars left. I normally charge it about then so it doesn’t take as long to charge. The only thing else it needs is shocks, it does get pretty bouncy on the rough part of the yard and on the gravel road. If you stand up its not as bad.Highly suggest it if your thinking about it go ahead and get one.I have had it since March 13th and have 45 miles on it so far. Again I just use it in my yard so far. Looking forward to using for what i purchased it for soon.

    Fun

Great little scooter to ride, easy to fold for transport, and very smooth ride. Great battery life and I can ride for hours on a charge. Only issue is that the bell stopped working immediately and the front light is at a poor angle. It’s a little tough to adjust it but I wrote to HiBoy to help me resolve these issues. They responded back right away so customer service is on point! Overall, I am pleased and scooter is a lot of fun!

    What a ride!!

So I had a rather catastrophic failure with my S2 Pro after having it for 14 months and using it as a daily commuter scooter to my office in Queens NY. It was a great scooter, but a couple of weeks ago, I went for a ride to the grocery store and the vertical handle bar pole broke completely off from the base. Thankfully I was just getting ready to accelerate and wasn’t in an accident.I contacted Hiboy about this and even though I’m out of the warranty period, they were great and gave me a fantastic discount on the VE1 Pro. Stand up service Hiboy, thank you!As for the VE1 Pro. It’s freakin‘ awesome after a week of riding. I don’t like that the handle bars don’t hook onto anything, making carrying it a bit of a hassle, but I’m getting the hang of transporting it up and down from my office and frankly, the way it rides more than makes up for it.I can’t speak to the batter life since I haven’t tested it in any meaningful way, but riding it is an absolute pleasure. There was a learning curve for me however since the S2 Pro is front wheel drive and the VE1 rear wheel, but overall was a very simple set up process and easy to get accommodated to the new ride. The scooter is also really beautiful. I never looked at my S2 Pro and said wow, that’s a fine looking scoot. But I absolutely do with the VE1. It’s a really sleek looking. The silver body, black wheels, red break calipers. Chef’s kiss. Highly recommend this scooter. Thanks again Hiboy.

    Do not buy Hiboy!

The bike showed up with missing pieces. Amazon told me to call Hiboy, so I contacted Hiboy via email and phone. The people on the phone said that they were not able to help me and that I could only get help via email. When they emailed me they told me that they refused to send me the pieces and that I would have to go to a store and buy the pieces. Not only that, but the motor sounded like it was broken or dying and it has a flat tire. Amazon has been very helpful with the return of the scooter. However, Hiboy is awful, their customer service and support is a joke, non existent, and the product itself is horrible! I do not recommend the product or the company if you don’t want a headache and a hassle

Easy assembly (most of the scooter is assembled) you just have to put the front wheel drum brake in the front wheel and put the front wheel axle on. Very easy. Then attach seat and basket with supplied nuts and screws. Make sure to put air in tires before you ride! The instructions state you can damage the scooter if wheels are not properly inflated. I have rode it twice, great range and speed.

    Fast and built well.

What a great scooter. It’s fast , smooth and sturdy .I am 67 yrs old and have no problem riding this sleek looking machine. The handelbars are adjustable and with the 16″ tires it`s very smooth even in the ruff stuff. with 3 speeds that you can select on the fly makes it easy to ride.I ride it to my work studio which is 24 miles away with power to spare. The headlight is bright and in a good location. It charges fast and is easy to store, when folded its a snap.It should hold up very well. A good buy for sure. It`s going to be a great asset when we go camping my whole family likes it..Thank`s Hiboy! Steven Mike Uribe

    Can’t handle hills

Had high hopes for this, but it just can’t handle going up hills. At only 10-15 degrees incline, this thing wouldn’t go faster than 5mph. Great on flat lands, but if you live in the mountains, no good.Would buy another one if they added a seat a doubled the power. The return was easy. That’s why I bought it on Amazon. Gave it a fair try, but didn’t work out for me.

    Decent

Why do you not list this product when I visit your virtual store on here? And also I don’t see anything in the instructions telling me what to do with his rusty nail that was in my box. Fairly easy to put together. Well made. Some surfaces it isn’t so smooth as I expected. But it ain’t bad overall

    Wonderful Commuting Scooter (safer too)

The TLDR is that I would love this scooter as my transportation to and from work if I was in scooter range from where I worked. More so than the current S2 model I have (love my S2 as well though, for different reasons). Max 23 mph, adjustable height handles, wide base for standing comfort, pneumatic tires for a smooth ride, front and back breaks. Here’s my review:Arrival——–The large box arrived without any visual damage, which is nice considering the box itself is pretty heavy. The scooter was packaged well and has minimal assembly required. Only thing that looked like damage but wasn’t was a plastic protector spacer for the front fork wheel. The spacer is to be tossed so it did its job.Assembly————-The front and back fender went on easy. Front wheel was also just as easy to assemble (the back wheel is already attached). I did it all on my own as well. The headlight was the only thing that gave me trouble but even that was still a simple task. Just had to push the screw out from the nut side since the plastic is a tight fit. The tight fit is what you want though so there is no rattle when attached. The instructions were written well. Wording all made sense and there were a few pictures to help too.During the assembly, I plugged in my scooter to fully charge. It was mainly charged to begin with since after lunch the light was green and it was ready to go.Test Ride————I took it out for a spin around my neighborhood which has semi-steep hills. At first I had forgotten about the speed options and thought that I had not seen the charge light correctly. It was only getting up to 8-10 mph. Then I saw the 1 on the display. I bumped it up to 2 and got it up to 15 mph. Then jumped up to gear 3 and got up to 23 mph.My S2 maxes out at around 17 to 18 mph. Even though the difference between 18 and 23 is a small amount, if feels a lot faster on a scooter. The ride is so very smooth, thanks to the pneumatic wheels. My other S2 scooter has solid wheels which makes for a rougher ride. These wheels make cracks and bumps in the road much less noticeable. The larger flat base that you stand on is also a positive for me. Standing with my feet facing forward with them feeling like they are on solid ground is much more natural and less stressful on my feet. When not moving, you will notice the steering feels stiffer than usual. Having ridden on many scooters, this stiffness is actually a plus once you’re at 23 mph riding near cars. You are not afraid to take one hand off the handle to itch your nose or adjust your glasses. You can steer around corners just fine as it isn’t super stiff, just more so than your normal bike. I didn’t know I wanted stiffer steering until riding this scooter. Now I wish I could stiffen up all the other scooters I ride. The height of the handlebars can be adjusted with ease to whoever is riding it. The whole bar folds down when transporting it in a car as well. The vertical bar folds down for transport but doesn’t lock in anywhere. This is because you really don’t want to lift your scooter with only one hand and walk around with it. You will WANT to have both hands on it. You can comfortably lift it with one hand on the front curved silver frame and the other hand on the far back side silver frame near the back of your solid base. All in all, this is a wonderful choice for the commuter who wants to feel more safe when choosing to use a scooter to get around.

Very comfortable ride standing or sitting. You can still stand with seat and basket attached.

I recently upgraded my scooter from a Hiboy S2 to a larger model Ecom14. I wasn’t sure if this was going to be more than what I really wanted but I am glad to have made the leap to a bigger scooter. The Ecom14 arrived in one undamaged large box. I was able to put the scooter together, including the seat and basket, myself. It wasn’t difficult at all and it only took me about 25 minutes. The larger inflated tires make for such a smoother ride. The sidewalk cracks and bumps in the road are less noticeable than the ride on the solid wheels of my Hiboy S2. In fact, I do not have to slow down as often when the terrain is a little rough.Although the seat and basket are removable. I have found that you can stand even with the attached seat. The adjustable handle bars also will allow for either standing or sitting. The Ecom14 does have good acceleration. Having the 3 different gears is a nice feature as the 3rd gear has a lot of get up and go. I do prefer gear 2 for safety reasons in areas where there is a lot of traffic and pedestrians. The headlight is located at the bottom and is much brighter than my S2. I have added lights to my wheels, as this model does not have sideboard lighting. It definitely is a fun little scooter. I love the basket and the comfortable seat. I am very happy with the upgrade and the longevity of the battery which makes for a less stressful ride when traveling distances. With my S2 I always traveled with my charger and would charge where and when I could.Having a bigger scooter does come with some downfalls. It is about 30 pounds heavier than my S2 which makes it more difficult to lift for a 125lb girl. I definitely need assistance getting it into the back of my truck. However the seat and basket are removable which could make it easier to travel with if need be. The handle bars do lower and fold down, but there is no locking mechanism so it can be a little awkward when loading into the back of a vehicle.Overall I am really happy with the upgrade. Most of my friends have the S2 or Max models and really are interested in making the jump to a bigger scooter for a more comfortable ride. The basket is the bonus for sure.

    Practical and fun!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I am absolutely thrilled with my new electric scooter! The addition of the seat and rear basket has made my commuting experience incredibly convenient and enjoyable. The seat is comfortable and provides excellent support, making longer rides a breeze. Plus, the rear basket is spacious enough to carry all my essentials, from groceries to my work bag, with ease. The scooter itself is well-built and sturdy, providing a smooth and stable ride even on bumpy roads. The electric motor is powerful yet quiet, allowing me to effortlessly cruise around town without disturbing the peace. I love how easy it is to maneuver, whether I’m navigating busy streets or weaving through crowded sidewalks. One of my favorite features is the battery life – it lasts for miles on a single charge, giving me the freedom to explore without worrying about running out of power. And when it’s time to recharge, the process is quick and hassle-free.Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This electric scooter with a seat and rear basket has truly revolutionized my daily commute, making it more convenient, comfortable, and fun. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile mode of transportation.

Updated review: Don’t buy this scooter.

Updated Review 12-13-22 – This scooter has had more problems than I can count. It’s been out of commission for the last 2 months with a broken battery. Despite being under warranty they just can’t seem to get us the right replacement part. Before that, we had to fix the headlight. Before that, the axle. I’m just really disappointed. It’s clearly a bad design. We have 3 HiBoy scotters in our house: the S2, the Max V2, and this one. This is by far my favorite because it feels so much safer: – The big wheels go up curbs – The larger wheels handle rough streets, cracks, and potholes – It’s far more stableThe only thing I would change is the fact that the back wheel is exposed. I wish HiBoy would put a wider cover on that.

Great scooter, super fast and great range!

Initial impressions of the scooter are great. It has very large tires which really help going over bumps and cracks in the sidewalk. The paint is good and the overall fit and finish is good too.Assembly: I’m pretty quick with putting things together and the assembly took me about 15 minutes. A nice zipper pouch is included which contains all required tools and parts. The step-by-step instructions are easy to follow. It’s definitely easier to assemble with two people but I did it myself and it wasn’t an issue.Charging: Mine came mostly charged and finished charging in about 30-45 minutes. I’ve only drained the battery a few times but it seems to charge really fast. The screen on the handlebars will show you the battery level so it’s easy to check whenever you want.Riding: The platform is huge – very easy to put your feet right next to each other and ride comfortably. I have another electric scooter and there is not nearly as much room. The giant tires handle bumps and pavement imperfections with ease. The scooter goes pretty fast – 23mph and it has a speedometer on the screen so you know how fast you’re going. This scooter is extremely easy to ride. Cruise control is AMAZING too!! If I have one complaint, I’d like it to be a bit more responsive to pushing the accelerator. It has about a half second delay. It’s easy to get used to though and not a big deal.Brakes: The brakes are REALLY good. Disk brakes front and back, very strong and easy to adjust.Bell: Nice old-fashioned analog bell. I love it. It sounds funny/cute.Headlight: Good and sufficient … nothing to write home about but it does the job.Overall it’s a 5 star scooter and I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a strong long-range scooter with all of these features.

    Awesome scooter!

This scooter is built very well. The bike tires make rides smooth and the brakes work very well. The light is adequate and allows for night rides. The only con was I had to send my fist one back because the throttle began to stick a bit. The scooter is also a little on the heavy side and I wish it went a bit faster but all and all well worth the price.

    Great little commuter!

For over a year, this little scooter has been my regular commuter, and overall, I’ve been fairly happy with its performance. As with most electric bikes and scooters, the listed range isn’t quite accurate. All together, I get approximately 12 miles on a full charge running full throttle the entire time. It used to get a little more when it was new, but battery degradation is understandable, and fortunately it isn’t really affecting the scooter too much. It’s got a fair amount of power, gets me up hills alright, although it does slow down a bit, and it’s top speed is fantastic, so no major complaints there.Over the course of the year, I did run into a couple small problems: the plastic throttle trigger snapped off, and my kickstand somehow broke. I’m actually not sure how. Anyway, I emailed the company for help, absolutely ready to pay for spare parts, but they sent me parts for free since I was still under warranty. It was unexpected and super cool! Definitely 5 stars to their customer support team. For my purposes, general commuting and errand running, I’d definitely recommend this scooter. It’s practical, quick, and a lot of fun to ride!

    Hiboy VE1 Pro (standing scooter)

I have rode several electric bikes and scooters over the years and while I am no expert I am definitely not a beginner rider. So please remember that as I give my review of how the scooter handles. When it arrived I was working but as soon as I was off work I opened it up now from open to fully assembled it took me about 45 minutes to an hour. Now I was alone and it was fairly heavy to put together alone (I am a woman so if my husband had been home another set of hands would have been helpful) however I did get it together I went on YouTube and watched Hi-boys official assembly video. Now I will say you have to be careful about the headlight I assumed the screw to attach it could be put in either way that’s not the case it only goes in from one side and you have to use some force to get it all the way through (or at least I did). Also assembling the front wheel you most definitely want a second person it will just make it easier to lift and put the wheel where it needs to go. It’s definitely possible alone but I suggest the help if at all possible. (I was just impatient LOL)I found that the throttle is very touchy and has a significant delay in activation when pressing it to start. Now the delay is something I can adjust to and get use to the sensitivity of the throttle is weird and I may be able to adjust to it as well… however I find when I back off because it’s going faster then I wanted it just stops and I have to reset the throttle and start over. I am unsure if this is just my throttle or if it’s expected from this throttle. I did reach out to their customer support email and they responded by the next morning asking for more information and a video I explained I was unable to provide a video of the issue due to needing my hands to operate the throttle and steer and had no way of safely getting them a video. I took the scooter back out for a second ride today and didn’t notice the throttle issue with the speed not working right. I am willing to bet it was user error however there is still a good delay in pushing down on the throttle and the motor kicking on. It is definitely something I will have to get use to not awful but other scooters tend to kick in with very little delay. I did reach out to Hiboy support this is not expected behavior so they are sending me a new meter and said this should address the issue! They were quick and very helpful via email, highly recommend if you like the scooter but have an issue reach out!Update on touchy throttle: So it was not a faulty meter it was user error! I found when taking off its best to start in 2nd gear and switch to 3rd gear when moving down the way to avoid the touchy throttle user error just to much get up and go in 3rd gear when taking off!Now one other thing I did not like was the headlight is to low in my opinion I tested it at night in my apartment complex and even with the street lights it really just doesn’t show enough area head of me. Also because of where it attaches to the frame it stays facing directly in front even when turning… I know that sounds weird but trust me it doesn’t point with the steering column somehow. Now on to the unimportant but going to mention as part of the review. My scooter came with some broken plastic pieces in the box (I will show a video) at first I was worried but after looking closer it was just the plastic piece that sits in the front axles place for shipping. Then there was a pretty major slash on the logo on the steering column. (Also have video and photos) really just cosmetic but still disappointing for a brand new scooter. Now all that being said I will say the positives. I like the big tires it goes over the bump from road to parking lot at my apartment complex with ease! Also any cracks or gaps that would have given my older smaller scooter (swagger 5) problems barely even noticeable to this one’s wheels. It’s quick! I easily got it up to 23mph (on flat surface). The wide deck is very nice I can comfortably put both feet side by side and ride which is nice because I never liked having one foot behind the other! It handled a gentle incline with ease barley even noticed I was on an incline with it. (My area is super flat, though) Also the frame is very sturdy and I do like that!Over all I give it three stars and this is because of price and the aforementioned issues I am having with it. I feel three stars is fair because while it is a good scooter and I will be keeping it I feel for the price it could have been made with a better speedometer and throttle both seem pretty cheaply made and really the reason I will be sticking with it in the large tires if another company made a scooter with big tires like this and put all the same tech in it as the smaller ones it’d definitely be worth the price. If like me you can live with the technology being low end and prefer the bigger tires and wider deck and it’s worth it to you instead of a smaller tire and smaller deck scooter with more technology in it. Then buy it! But if you want more technology and don’t care about big tires and wider deck then I suggest not getting this one. I personally can buy the things I want it to have tech wise that it doesn’t and while I admit the price of the scooter is high the stuff I want to add (motion alarm, bike lock, better headlight, basket) is not to much and I want the bigger tires. I did add a basket that hangs over the handle bars and I had to disassemble the brakes and everything to get it on and not block my ability to brake but it was easy all the tools I need came with the scooter but a Phillips head screw driver but that’s pretty common tool to have so shouldn’t be an issue the basket is nice I can use it to hold my food when I order pickup and to go get mail etc. also where I store my helmet while it’s parked at home.Hope this helps anyone reading it!

I commute daily by scooter down Market Street in San Francisco.

I recently upgraded to the Hiboy VE1 Pro a month ago. I will share my thoughts on the product and how it compares to my old scooter. Maybe it will help you make a buying decision. This scooter was a HUGE upgrade for me. It is better in every way than my old one. I love riding it. I really only have 1 complaint about it which I will address later. Here are the features that I love:- Large 16″ wheels ride very smooth and are MUCH safer than my old 8″ wheels. This scooter takes bumps with ease, whereas every bump felt dangerous on the old scooter.- Pneumatic tires absorb small bumps and soften large bumps. My old scooter had solid tires which had a very rough ride.- The footbed is wide so you can ride with your feet next to each other. Do not underestimate how important this is! Spending at least 30 minutes per day on a scooter, it is important to ride in this feet parallel stance. I found that I developed hip pain after riding my old scooter with a right-side-back asymmetrical stance for several weeks. The parallel stance is the best stance you can ride in, and this scooter is specifically designed to be ridden that way. Switching to the feet-together parallel stance got the pain to go away, and allows me to absorb bumps with the leg muscles much easier.- The disk brakes are very responsive and maximize stopping power. This is important for safe riding in the city. The old scooter could not stop nearly as fast. Stopping power is necessary for a safe ride.- The 24 mph speed allows me to match the speed of traffic on Market Street. 24 mph feels quite fast. My old scooter topped out at 19mph, and the difference is more noticeable than I expected. I don’t think I would want to go much faster as it would start to feel dangerous.- The dashboard is quite nice and easy to read.- The 3 „gears“ are actually really helpful. I shift into gear 1 when lots of pedestrians are around. I use gear 2 when riding with friends who are on bikes. Gear 3 allows me to dust everyone except cars and exceptionally fast scooters.- The scooter’s headlight is quite powerful and visible. The brake light as well. It also has wheel reflectors for side to side visibility. I like to use a bike light on my backpack as well, but I feel comfortable riding in the dark even without it.- The bell is powerful and loud. Much better than my last scooter’s bell, and much louder.-I have even been able to ride this scooter down a staircase, like a bike. I don’t recommend doing it, but it has the capability. So what is my 1 complaint? The scooter is a tight fit in my trunk. My old scooter was smaller and fit easily. This scooter wedges in. It is not a problem for me, but if you plan on transporting the scooter in the back of your car then you will want to verify that it can fit in the trunk before buying it.I should mention: the assembly was fine if you’re good at building things, or experienced with bikes. If not, you might want to get the support of someone who is.I have to say: I think Hiboy really knocked it out of the park with the VE1 Pro. If you value QUALITY in the products you buy, then this is a solid purchase. The scooter punches above its weight class in terms of price. I think it would be hard to find a higher quality scooter at this price point. This scooter was about double the cost of my last scooter, and is worth every penny in terms of the quality. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

    Pretty cool scooter

I like the scooter but I thought it would have a key. Also it is pretty heavy. It goes pretty good on pavement or smooth grass, but not very good on gravel. Overall I like it. The light doesn’t turn with the handlebars and that’s kind of wierd.
